Our story
1995
1995
The State Committee of Russia on Higher Education and the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Russia approved the standard for the degree program on Service and Maintenance of Transport and Technological Machines and Equipment for Oil Production and Fuel Supply then adopted by Krasnoyarsk State Technical University.
1996
1996
Krasnoyarsk State Technical University launched the Department of Machinery and Equipment of Oil and Gas Fields and the degree program of the same name on the basis of the Faculty of Fuel Supply and Fuels and Lubricants.
1999
1999
Krasnoyarsk State Technical University organized the Faculty of Oil and Gas as well as a fully equipped, certified and accredited laboratory of analysis of oil, oil products, and gases.
2002
2002
The Siberian branch of the Research Institute of Fire Protection under the aegis of the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies, and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters established the specialised Department of Fire and Industrial Safety.

The government of the Russian Federation adopted the resolution about the merger of Krasnoyarsk State Technical University, Krasnoyarsk State University, the State University of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold, and Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Architecture and Construction within the structure of Siberian Federal University (SibFU), which, in its turn, established the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering implementing a continuous multistage education system for various levels of training of professionals, from workers to engineers.

By the resolution of the Scientific Council of Siberian Federal University and Achinsk Oil Refinery (Eastern Oil Company), SibFU opened the first specialised Department of Chemistry and Technology of Natural Energy Carriers and Carbon Materials within the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.

Training and laboratory building of the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering was opened.

Corporate Oil and Gas Centre allows Oil&Gas professionals to formally validate the competencies acquired during their training. To meet the industry needs, the training centre offers three different certificates depending on the amount of training hours (Russian Language).

Program leader – Fyodor Buryukin, PhD in Chemistry, associate professor, Department of Chemistry and Technology of Natural Energy Carriers and Carbon Materials, School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering.
The modules include core and optional subjects. Future student may choose additional courses according to the subject’s module list. Total ECTS credits: no more than 30.
